So, gaming.
At some point I got interested in gaming (very early on).
From Breakout to the upcoming Halo 5, Dungeons & Dragons and Hack to World of Warcraft, gaming (and especially the video variety) has been constantly evolving: technology, graphics, gameplay, storyline. And I pretty much got to experience most of its evolution (I’m not quite old enough to have played Breakout or Pong, but I know the history), but I did see games go from Zork style games to ASCII character “graphical” games (Hack!), played on the old consoles and old computers, and remember my jaw dropping as the first swelling orchestral sounds and stunning (at the time) graphics and gameplay of the first Halo unfolded before my eyes.
Enter Doctor Jane McGonigal. A woman interested in gaming and very interested in using gaming and gamers to change the world. I was smitten.
Then, after some point, I got interested in interviewing gamers.
So I started Got Fiero?, a project to speak to gamers about gaming. What do we think about games, where do we think they are going, how have they changed our lives for better or for worse?
Can games change the world? as Dr. Jane McGonigal posits in her book Reality Is Broken: Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World, along with her various TED Talks.

And while I haven’t fully stepped into the interviewing project, I have started the other part which is discussing and reviewing games. I’m probably going to do some “ooh, the gameplay is thus!” sort of view and I want to add in a “well, what does this game bring up for me?” (And such. In probably a rambling sort of fashion!). I hope to add the interviewing at some point because I am very interested in what we think about the whole industry!
Welcome!!
